• Tested and evaluated new technologies and products for their possible adoption. Performed pilot installations and created documentation for users and administrators. Provided training and customer support.
• Maintained a repository of custom and new Debian packages.
• Performed installations of high-availability clusters for databases and web applications for regional Governments, a real estate firm and a fashion firm, coordinating with other providers and customers' IT teams.

• Maintained an internal fork of the Debian distribution, containing modified and unmodified Debian packages, as well as new packages not in Debian, backporting and applying security fixes as needed.
• Migrated two web portals from custom developments in ASP and Java into eZPublish, creating new eZPublish modules for new functionality such as bulletins, rate calculators, etc., and importing all previously existing data and page contents.
• Performed installations of high-availability clusters for databases and web applications for a regional Government, a real estate firm and a financial firm, coordinating with customers' IT teams.
• Performed security assessments on web applications, uncovering several vulnerabilities and providing suggestions for improvement.

• Skilled in Linux system administration. Linux user since 1997. LPIC-1 certified (July 2006).
• Debian developer, experience with SuSE SLES and RedHat EL. Creation and maintenance of “deb” and RPM packages.
• Several programming languages (imperative and functional). Mainly C, Perl, PHP and “bash” scripting. Also: Java, Python, O'Caml, Erlang, C++, C# ...
• Software translation using gettext: toolset, formats.
• Distributed and parallel programming.
• Web development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, SQL, LDAP; security in web development. eZ Publish, Drupal, development of modules for those CMS.
• TCP/IP and application-level protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, IMAP, POP3, ...
